About QRM

Which devices does QRM service?

QRM provides service, repair and calibration for Testo instruments. Include the exact model and the work you need in the service form. We assess the device and available service options before quoting.

For another brand, contact that manufacturer or its service provider.

Can every Testo model still be repaired?

Service depends on the model, its condition and the parts available. A manual appearing here does not confirm that parts remain available or that a repair is feasible. QRM assesses the instrument before confirming the proposed work.

Can these pages help me adjust a furnace or refrigeration system?

These pages help you identify and care for your Testo instrument. Appliance adjustment and refrigerant-system work require the appropriate training, equipment and system instructions. Use the device’s complete operating manual and the relevant equipment instructions for that work.

Sending a device

How do I send my Testo device to QRM?

Complete the online service form, keep the submission reference and include it with the instrument. Provide the model, serial number, symptoms, requested service and included accessories.

Confirm the current shipping destination with QRM before dispatch. Protect the instrument and probes against movement and impact during transit.

Can I send more than one device?

Yes. Add each instrument in the Devices step of the service form, with its own model, serial number, requested work and accessories. Label the instruments so receiving can match each one to its details.

What accessories should I include?

List everything you send. Include the probe, hose, charger or accessory involved in the fault, and tell QRM if an item is missing. For intermittent problems, describe the complete setup used when the fault occurs.

If you are unsure what is needed for a particular service, confirm with QRM before shipping.

What should I include in a fault description?

Record the exact error text, when it happens, whether the problem is constant or intermittent, the connected accessories and any recent drop, liquid exposure or change in behaviour. Include checks already tried and whether the problem appears on the device or only in an app.

Is my form submission reference a quote number?

No. The submission reference identifies the request you sent. QRM’s quote or sales order number is assigned through the order process. A saved request does not mean that the instrument has arrived, been evaluated or been quoted.

What happens after QRM receives the device?

The instrument enters the receiving and evaluation queue. QRM checks its condition and whether the requested services can be performed, then sends a quote for your decision. Approved work proceeds through service and the required checks before return arrangements are completed.

How long will service take?

Timing depends on the queue, evaluation, your quote response, parts availability and the work required. Ask QRM for the current estimate for your order. These support pages do not promise a fixed turnaround.

Quotes & payment

How do I approve a quote?

Follow the response instructions in QRM’s quote email. If approval asks for a purchase order, add it when applicable. Keep the quote number and confirm that the proposed work and return details are correct.

Contact QRM if you need to change the scope or cannot use the response controls.

What if I decline the quote?

Use the decline or refuse option in the quote response and tell QRM how you want the device handled. Review the issued quote and agreed terms for assessment, return or other applicable charges.

Scrapping a device is a separate instruction. Select it only when you intend to authorize disposal.

When is payment arranged?

Payment processing is handled at shipping according to the agreed payment terms. If payment details are needed, QRM will contact you. Use the payment method provided by QRM; do not include card numbers in a support message or the service form.

Can QRM assess a warranty concern?

Include your purchase information, instrument details and a clear description of the problem with the request. Warranty coverage must be assessed; submitting a request does not confirm that the work will be covered.

Calibration & certificates

What is the difference between calibration and repair?

Calibration compares instrument indications with reference values and documents the results. Repair addresses a fault or damaged component. Adjustment changes the instrument’s response; it is separate from the comparison itself.

Tell QRM whether you need calibration, repair or both so the quoted work can match your needs.

How often should my device be calibrated?

Use the interval specified for your instrument and your organization’s quality requirements. Usage, measurement risk, previous results and suspected damage can affect when another check is needed. Ask QRM to help confirm a suitable service plan for your model.

Where do I find a calibration certificate?

Check the available documents against your QRM order in the customer portal. Use the QRM quote or sales order number to identify the job, and check the instrument’s model and serial number on the certificate.

If the file has not been posted or you cannot access it, contact QRM with the job number.

Why does QRM ask which sensors are fitted?

Models in the same family can have different sensor configurations. Describe the fitted sensors when known, but keep the exact instrument model from the label. In particular, identify 300 and 300LL separately; do not change the model name to describe an O₂/CO or O₂/CO/NO configuration.

Testo devices

How do I choose the correct Testo manual?

Match the model, full product number and generation on the nameplate to the manual’s cover and instrument drawing. Similar names do not guarantee the same controls or procedures. Use the manuals section or ask QRM if you are unsure.

Does an unexpected reading always mean a failed sensor?

A single unexpected reading is not enough to identify the fault. Record the setup, units, displayed value, connected probe and error message. Use the matching device guide for the available checks. Stop relying on suspect measurements for decisions that require a verified result, and arrange assessment if the issue remains.

Can I use the same filter instructions for a 300 and a 310 II?

Use the guide for the actual instrument and probe. The 300 guide covers its modular flue gas probe; the 310 II guide covers its specified probe filter. Confirm the replacement part in the linked manual.

Does a Bluetooth walkthrough apply to every Testo device?

Choose the exact model first. The 550s / 557s walkthrough applies to those smart manifolds. The original 550/557, a 435 radio module and newer models can use different connections and instructions.

Should I update firmware to fix a fault?

Record the fault and current version first. Check the official product instructions for the exact model, required update method and power conditions. A firmware update is not a general repair step; ask QRM if the device has a persistent fault or the correct update path is unclear.

Why should electrochemical cells be calibrated annually?

Electrochemical cells react with the target gas and gradually lose response. Annual calibration and service compares the analyzer with reference conditions, checks for drift and sampling problems, records the result and identifies when a cell needs replacement.

The interval should also reflect your organization’s quality system, measurement risk, usage and previous results. Do not use a suspect reading for a safety decision.

Why do electrochemical cells stop working?

The cell is a consumable measuring component. Normal chemical depletion, sustained high gas concentrations, condensation, contamination, blocked filters, leaks, temperature and storage conditions can reduce its response or make it fail a check.

Calibration cannot restore a depleted cell. QRM assesses the model and sensor configuration, then quotes replacement and calibration when required.

What is different about the redesigned testo 320 and testo 330?

The current platforms use large touchscreens, guided workflows and connected reporting. The testo 320 is the standard O₂/CO platform; the testo 330 is the advanced platform with variant-specific O₂, CO/H₂ and NO configurations. Confirm the exact product number before using a manual or comparing limits.

QRM is bringing both platforms back into production support with model-specific service and calibration.

How do I service my device with Qboy’s walkthrough?

Identify the exact model and serial number, describe the fault or requested calibration, choose the correct return location, list every accessory and review the request before submitting. Keep the submission reference with the instrument, then use the customer portal after QRM creates the quote.

Portal & return

How do I find an existing quote or service order?

Use the customer portal with the account supplied by QRM. Your quote or sales order number starts with Q, for example Q000027555. Keep this number in correspondence about your device.

A Testo picking-order number is a shipping reference and is not the QRM job or calibration-certificate number.

How do I get access to the customer portal?

Open the customer portal and use the account provided by QRM. If you need access or cannot sign in, contact QRM with your company and order details. Portal access is scoped to the customer records assigned to the account.

How do I change the return address or ask about shipping?

Contact QRM with your quote or sales order number and the requested change. Confirm the return location before shipping is arranged. For orders containing multiple devices, QRM returns the order together rather than sending partial shipments.
